My baby brother was baptized today! My parents were not the same religion (my mom was Catholic, my dad was not) so they only taught us basic Christian ideas and left the rest up to us. We went to church with our grandparents or friends fairly often growing up. I liked to (and still do) visit different churches and see what they are like. Buddy and I have talked about trying to find a church that feels "right" to us. Anyway, so Jared has decided on his own to be baptized and confirmed. I'm very proud of him! Plus I got to the church this morning and was utterly shocked by how old he looks! I mean, I see him all the time but today it hit me. He's a young man! Over the past year or so he has gone from my height or a tiny bit shorter, to at least 4 inches taller than me. And he's about to be in high school! I know I've mentioned before that he is about the same age difference from Chris as he is from me. So when I think about what I was doing at his age, I remember him at the age Chris is now, and it seems so unreal. That was just the other day wasn't it?

playing.

This afternoon when I got off work, we went to Mike's house and Chris played with Mary Katelyn and Abby. He hasn't seen them since before Christmas, but they were totally comfortable around each other still. Mary Katelyn and Abby were so willing to let me take pictures of them too, but mostly goofy ones. Chris is always up for some goofy time so he had fun! After that we went to the park, but it was so incredibly crowded that we didn't stay for very long.

Happy Easter!
Chris had a good Easter. We went to church this morning with Buddy's family. Then Buddy had to work so we went to my mom's house to hunt eggs with my family. Chris had a Lightning McQueen Easter basket. He had lots of fun hunting eggs and then dumping them out to see what was in them. Trevor wanted to help too.

you want a piece of me?
happy spring!

Spring starts this week! I think the day after tomorrow is technically the first day. But we never have much of a winter here anyway, so it's all the same. Anyway, today we went to the park for a long time. It has been gorgeous outside. Chris is still not crazy about swinging too high, he would rather be running around and climbing.
